Each year, Pinewood parents, faculty, staff, and Board members get together to celebrate the end of the school year at the annual auction. This event is an opportunity to spend quality time with other parents from the school, enjoy a great meal and drinks and dress up in the Kentucky Derby theme (if you like).

In addition to being a community celebration, this event is also a fundraiser. The live auction raises money for Pinewood's teachers and staff to participate in professional development opportunities during the year.

This year, the auction will take place on March 23rd from 6:30-11:00 pm at Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club.

Tickets go on sale January 15th.

The annual auction is Pinewood's most highly attended adult-only event that brings together parents from all three campuses as well as teachers and administrators. It is a great chance to meet with and talk to parents who have children in other grades as well as spend time with the teachers and staff. It is also a fun evening with delicious food and premium wine.

The first hour of the evening is a cocktail reception, you will enjoy wine, cocktails, and appetizers while mingling with friends. There will be a photo booth and a 360 photo booth so you can capture memories of the night. The second part of the evening is a sit-down dinner and a live auction as well as Fund-A-Need during which attendees have an opportunity to hear from Pinewood's President and Head of School, Scott Riches, as well as members of faculty and parent community.

All tickets must be purchased by the March 10th deadline. Unfortunately, due to advance notice requirements by the venue, we are unable to sell tickets the day-of.

Yes! While the auction is a fundraiser for the school and raises money for teachers and staff to participate in learning throughout the year, the evening is a social event and an opportunity to see your friends. There is no obligation to donate while you attend the event. All donations made during the evening are purely voluntary and a result of the generosity of our parent community.

Absolutely! Guests will be seated at tables of 10. To be seated with a certain group, each person should specify all people in their group at the time their tickets are purchased. Do this by clicking on the “Special Request” link in the menu on the auction ticket website. Please ensure they list you in the special request portion of their ticket purchase as well. We will try our best to seat you with some if not all of your requested tablemates. In order for us to make the logistics of a ten-person table work we cannot honor all seating requests, but we try our best. Please send seating questions to events@pinewood.edu.

Like many other fields, education is ever-changing. The tools available to teachers as well as techniques evolve as more and more research becomes available. In order to stay current on the most recent tools and techniques, great teachers like the ones at Pinewood are committed to learning and growing. A strong professional development program provides funds needed for our teachers and staff to participate in learning opportunities. These opportunities might take the form of multi-day workshops or single-day sessions with experts and peers from other schools. Last year all of our teachers participated in one or more professional development offering.

You can! You do not have to attend to participate in the silent auction. This part of the event is open to our entire community and does not require attendance at the auction.
