Our Program

Pinewood's two- or four-week summer program provides a unique blend of academic and enrichment classes designed to sharpen academic skills and deepen a love of learning in an uplifting environment. Specialized teachers and small classes maximize the summer school experience. Our curriculum emphasizes academic growth as well as joyful participation in the arts, technology, and athletics. This balance has been unique to Pinewood from its founding and remains central to the Pinewood experience.

Payments and Policies

Deposits & Tuition Balance

A deposit of 10% of your tuition fee is required at the time of registration and will be applied toward your total tuition.
The remaining balance is due by May 1, 2026. Payments can be made by logging into your ACTIVE Account.

Cancellations

Before March 1: Refunds are issued minus a $50 cancellation fee.
March 2 – May 1: The 10% tuition deposit is forfeited.
After May 1: No refunds will be issued.
How to cancel:
- Before May 1 – You can cancel directly through your ACTIVE Account.
- After May 1 – Contact Thuy Au in the Business Office. There will be no refunds.
NOTE:
- Lunch, Extended Day, and Extended Day with Tennis Club add-ons (available for purchase April 1 - May 1) are non-refundable.
- Students may register for only ONE program option. Example: A student may not attend both Two-Week Session 1 and Two-Week Session 2, as they follow the same curriculum. If more than one session is purchased, a $50 processing fee will apply to cancel the extra session.

Program Transfers

Before May 1: Any transfer from one session to another that results in a lower tuition amount or refund will incur a $50 processing fee. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method, minus the $50 processing fee.
After May 1: No refunds will be issued for transfers. Any transfer will require a $50 processing fee.
How to transfer:
- Before May 1: You may self-transfer to another session with available space through your ACTIVE Account.
- After May 1: Submit transfer requests to Diana Rocacorba.

If you’d like to adjust your class selections or registration information after you register:

Before March 1: Log into your ACTIVE Account to make updates (class preferences, student/parent details, medical information, etc.).
After March 1: Contact Diana Rocacorba for requests for any changes.

Lunch + Extended Day Add-Ons

The following add-ons are available for students enrolled in the Full-Day Program (8:25 am–3:00 pm).

Add-on purchases are available from April 1–May 1 and are non-refundable; no changes or adjustments are available after purchase.

Availability

Offered only to students with 3:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. dismissal.
Available only for the full duration of the student’s registered session; lunch cannot be purchased on a daily or weekly basis.
Purchase Window: April 1–May 1
Families will receive a link to purchase the lunch program on April 1. All purchases must be completed by May 1 and are non-refundable; additions cannot be made after this date.

Menu

Scratch-made meals prepared with natural and organic ingredients.
Entrée options include regular, no-pork, and vegetarian selections.
Note: non-dairy, non-gluten, or other dietary accommodations are not available.

Extended Day | 3:00–5:00 p.m. (Grades K–8)

For students enrolled in the Full-Day Program (8:25 am–3:00 pm) who need aftercare.

Students in Grades 5–8 may register for Extended Day or Extended Day with Tennis Club.

Options

Full-Session Enrollment: Add Extended Day for the full duration of your child’s session. Available for purchase April 1–May 1. All purchases are non-refundable.
Daily Add-On: Beginning June 1, families may complete the Extended Day Daily Add-On Form by 12:00 pm the day of attendance to register for Extended Day on a daily or weekly basis. The Daily Add-On cost will be $37 per day.

Extended Day with Tennis Club | 3:00–5:00 pm (Grades 5–8 only)

Student Eligibility

Students must speak and understand English at their grade level.
For the Kindergarten program, students must be entering kindergarten in the upcoming 2026/27 school year and must be five years old by September 1, 2026.
Students may register for only ONE program option. Please select one open session per student. Example: A student may not attend both Two-Week Session 1 and Two-Week Session 2, as they follow the same curriculum.
Please Note:
- Pinewood reserves the right to remove students for serious behavioral issues or if limited English proficiency prevents participation or understanding of instruction.
- Our academic classes are not designed for students with significant learning differences who require small group or one-on-one support.
