Interact Serves at Bridge to Bridge

"Service above Self" is the motto of Rotary International, but for the sixteen Interact club members who volunteered at this year's 41st Bridge to Bridge event, the motto on Sunday morning was "Safety above Sleep!" The annual run spans from the Bay Bridge to the Golden Gate and traces through several iconic areas of the city in between. Not simply a fun community event, the run benefits the important work of Northern California Special Olympics. The majority of our student volunteers monitored the only two crosswalks at the race's start line, while the remaining club members helped at the bag check-in and water stations. It was a beautiful morning to serve as a team!
