Using 3D Printers to Explore Chinese History

Mr. Brusco and Ms. Frolich combined forces to bring some history lessons to life on our 3D printers. As part of the Chinese history unit, 4th-grade students were assigned a specific Chinese Dynasty and Emperor and designed a 3D printed coin that represented that era of history and their assigned emperor. Students used online research tools, Tinkercad, and Google Translate in order to build their coin to include their emperor's name as well as other Chinese characters. Lastly, the students transformed their coins into a wearable necklace.
