One of our fourth-grade students has a passion for playing the violin and piano. This fall, she won first prize in the Golden Classical Music Awards (9-12 category) and was invited to play piano at the winner's recital in the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.

Her mother says, "It was a memorable experience to perform on a stage with so much history and to be able to listen to the wonderful performances by the other winners of the event. Our daughter always says books take her places. Now she knows music can do the same magic, literally."
