Science Teacher Not to Celebrate Earth Day *GASP*

One would probably be shocked to hear that Terri Sanislo, our beloved K-2 science teacher, does not celebrate Earth Day with her students. After all, Ms. Terri's roots are in parks management and her classroom and garden serve as habitats to flowers, vegetables, insects, fish, and even the occasional wild visitor. To know Ms. Terri is to know that she loves and deeply respects our earth. So, why no Earth Day celebrations in Ms. Terri's classes? "I teach the kids that EVERY DAY is Earth Day," Ms. Terri says, "and that this Saturday is for those who haven’t been paying attention." Ms. Terri is sending her students home today with the encouragement to pick up trash at the park or beach, a good activity for any weekend!
