A Tribute to Keith Gilderoy '86

It is with sadness that we share the news of Pinewood alum Keith Gilderoy’s recent passing at the age of 49. Keith, a loving father, son, grandson, nephew, brother, and cousin, passed away on September 10, 2017.

Keith was a valuable member of the Pinewood community. He is remembered by faculty, staff, and peers as a creative, intelligent, funny, and caring individual. With a zest for life and unbridled motivation, he was most happy cooking, playing golf, spending time at the beach and fishing. Keith loved bike riding, rollerblading, motorcycles, camping and many more outdoor activities.

After graduating from Pinewood, Keith went on to marry and had two sons, Trevor and Kyle. Settling in Los Gatos, Keith enjoyed a successful career in tech at Silicon Graphics and Global Imagination in Silicon Valley. His career took him to countries around the world including China, Hong Kong, Korea, Portugal, and Chile. As at Pinewood, Keith’s infectious smile and laugh brought those who met him here and abroad to love and cherish his quick wit, laughter, and optimism.

He is survived by his two sons, Trevor and Kyle Gilderoy; mother, Diane Steck-Gilderoy; brother, Kevin Gilderoy; and uncle, Ronald Steck.

A celebration of Keith’s life will be held at Michael’s at Shoreline on October 22, 2017, starting promptly at 5:00 pm. Hors-d'oeuvres and beverages will be served. Keith’s Pinewood classmates, family, and friends are invited to join the celebration of his life. The family asks that you bring a photo of Keith with a brief note and explanation on the back of the photo in remembrance.

Questions regarding the celebration can be directed to Brian Steck, steck369@gmail.com.
