Cultural Celebrations
During the 2026–27 school year, Pinewood will host celebrations for Lunar New Year and Holi. Guided by parent volunteer committees and supported by Pinewood staff, these events showcase many traditions, food, and celebrations that are meaningful to our diverse community.
Families play a central role — leading activities, performing, and creating opportunities for students to learn from one another. Through these experiences, students gain both mirrors that reflect their own identities and windows into the lives and experiences of others.
At Pinewood, we know that a strong sense of belonging is essential to learning and growth. Cultural celebrations extend that work beyond the classroom, creating meaningful opportunities to honor identities, build understanding, and strengthen community.
