We are accepting applications for 7th, 9th, and 10th grades. Please be aware that 8th, 11th, and 12th grades are full and not accepting applications. There is no waitlist.

Our Application Process

Begin the Process

Begin the journey by initiating an inquiry through Veracross, Pinewood’s learning management system. Once you complete the inquiry, you'll receive an email with instructions on how to log in to the application portal. This portal will be your hub for managing your application.

Submit Your Application

After logging in, you’ll be guided through the following tasks:

Submit the Application Fee: A $100 non-refundable fee is required to proceed.
Upload Required Documents: You'll need to upload a photo of the applicant, provide demographic information, submit transcripts, and request teacher recommendations.

If our application fee presents a financial hardship, please email us to request a waiver. Our goal is to ensure every prospective student has the opportunity to be considered for admission.

Once the required documents are submitted, you’ll move on to scheduling important visits:

Parent Tour and Student Visit Experience: Depending on the grade level, you'll also schedule interviews or additional visit days. Keep your login details handy so you can easily check the status of your application throughout the process.

Parent Tours

Parent tours are conducted in-person and are exclusively for parents of applicants. You can register for a tour after completing the first two steps in your child’s application portal.

In-Person Interviews

In-person interviews can be scheduled in the application portal after completing the first two steps of our application.

Upper Campus Student Visit Experience

The Student Visit Experience is an opportunity for prospective students to attend one class, attend a student spirit assembly, participate in a campus tour with our ASB, and enjoy lunch with us. These are required for applicants to 7th, 9th and 10th grade. Parents can schedule a Student Visit Experience for their child in the application portal after completing the first two steps of our application.

Testing

All applicants for grades 7, 9, and 10 are required to complete a proctored essay through a third-party platform. Registration for the essay can be completed through the application portal. Learn more about the online essay here.

Testing Policy

Pinewood’s admissions process does not consider ISEE/SSAT scores. Any scores sent will not be added to an applicant's file. This approach ensures a more equitable evaluation process, giving all applicants a fair opportunity regardless of test access or preparation.

8th Grade

For the 2025-26 academic year, Pinewood will not be accepting applications for 8th grade, and there will be no waitlist. We understand this may be disappointing news, and we truly appreciate your interest in Pinewood.
