Stephanie is a licensed Marriage and Family therapist who is registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. She holds a B.A in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from The University of Iowa as well as a masters' degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University. She has been in the mental health field for over 25 years, and has had the pleasure of working in day treatment and residential treatment programs for children and adolescents. She was also the program therapist for an elementary school for 8 years and a high school therapeutic program for 10. Stephanie is experienced in working with students who have had challenges around anxiety, depression, grief, divorce, adoption, substance abuse, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder and she has supported students within the LGBTQIA+ community. She has also worked with teens around increasing self-esteem, managing anger, as well as social and relationship skill building and development. She also enjoys working with parents and caregivers to help enhance their relationships with their children by increasing healthy communication between family members. Stephanie works from a person centered, culturally competent, strength based perspective with interventions taken from attachment theory, cognitive behavioral and solution focused perspectives. Her style incorporates development of insight and skill building in a supportive, non-judgemental environment.

In her free time, Stephanie enjoys musicals, concerts, triathlons and spending time with her husband, adolescent twin daughters and two rescue dogs. She is an avid animal lover and has dreams of having her own sanctuary one day.
