Ashley holds a B.A. in International Studies from UC San Diego and an M.Ed. and teaching license in Mild/Moderate Special Education from Boston College. Ashley’s interest in teaching was sparked while studying at the University of California, San Diego, where she was a student teacher in various elementary schools in the San Diego area. After college, Ashley moved to Boston, MA where she coordinated the academic content of an after school and summer program for underserved youth while she served in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. Ashley then worked in elementary special education at a school in Brookline, MA. Ashley is very excited to be back in the Bay Area, where she no longer has to shovel snow! Ashley enjoys traveling (she’s been to five continents), running and hiking (she ran the 2017 Boston Marathon for a charity), cooking, and spending time with her husband and dog.
