Larry Mendoza

Larry comes to Pinewood with an exciting background in NASA spacecraft engineering - some of Larry’s projects include the Hubble Space Telescope, the Spitzer Space Telescope, and the International Space Station! In addition, Larry has over 25 years in aerospace, government and IT industries, in roles spanning software development, hardware/software integration, systems engineering, engineering management, business and sales. Larry has worked with kids throughout his career, focusing on introducing students of all ages to the joys of engineering. PBS even featured Larry on an episode of the Real Science TV series! Larry has a degree in Mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley and is a lifelong resident of the Bay Area. In addition to all things STEM, Larry brings many interests, including astronomy, birding, sports of all types, comic books, and recumbent cycling! Larry is thrilled to be joining the Pinewood team to share his love of STEM with our Pinewood students.
