Kristin feels blessed to be a part of the Pinewood team. She desires to motivate, guide, advocate for, inspire, and make a difference in the lives of students, their families, and her colleagues every day. She believes that it is essential to provide a learning environment that promotes a growth mindset. Kristin is driven to impact all students positively by developing each student's unique strengths as well as meeting their individual needs through high-quality instruction and fostering enjoyment for learning. Prior to Pinewood, Kristin gained meaningful experience and has served in the educational field through the capacity of multiple roles including classroom teacher, administrative designee, intervention specialist, instructional coach, and district instructional coach. Kristin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a Minor in Human Development from California State University, Monterey Bay. She also earned her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Masters in Education Degree with an emphasis in Language, Literacy, & Culture from the University of San Diego. Kristin enjoys the outdoors, running, the beach, and most importantly spending quality time with her wonderful family, daughter, and pets.
