Matt Stimson

Athletic Director (HS)
Upper Campus
As the high school Athletic Director, Matt loves providing a great educational and athletic environment for Pinewood students. Besides his Athletic Director position, he coaches high school cross country and track, junior high boys’ and girls’ soccer, is a class advisor, has taken students to Peru for community service, and enjoys helping our small close-knit community wherever needed.

Matt came to Pinewood in November of 2005 after 9 years of college soccer coaching. In 2001 and 2002 his Stanford men’s soccer teams advanced to the NCAA final four. In 2000, while at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, his team was the NCAA Division 1runner-up. Previous to coaching full-time, he was a public school teacher in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He finished his master’s in education in 1998 from Plymouth State University and his Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education from Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1993.

You will see him on the sidelines of most home games cheering on the Panthers! In his spare time he enjoys teaching and practicing yoga, cycling, meditation, reading, surfing, mountaineering and spending time with his family.
