Carrie earned her A.A. degree in Fine Arts from Brigham Young University, Idaho and a B.S. in Dance Education from Brigham Young University Provo, UT. While attending BYU, she participated in various dance companies, including the Modern Dance company and the Ballroom Dance Touring Company. Carrie competed in ballroom dance professionally for three years and was 2nd in the nation in the American Rhythm category. She began coaching youth formation teams and fell in love with teaching. Carrie spent a year touring the country as a stage manager for Spotlight Events and participated in several local theater productions. She has taught social dance at Brigham Young University and early childhood education in both Idaho and Utah public schools. She has had several students move on to professional careers in dance and film appearing on So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing With The Stars as well as Teen Beach Movie, The Fosters. Outside of teaching, she has 3 beautiful girls that she loves to spend time with. She is passionate about music and loves to collect vinyl records. She sings, plays the trombone and designs costumes.
