Laura Blaich feels honored to be a part of the teaching profession. Throughout her years as an educator, Mrs. Blaich has been driven by a desire to make learning accessible for all her students and to encourage students to welcome challenges with positivity and eagerness. While a classroom teacher for ten years, Mrs. Blaich thoroughly enjoyed teaching Language Arts at the middle school level, aspiring not only to nurture the development of strong writing skills and a love of literature in young students, but to inspire them to be curious learners and confident self-advocates. Now as a learning specialist, Mrs. Blaich is dedicated to working with students on an individual basis to help meet their unique learning needs, to supporting teachers in their efforts to support all the diverse learners in their classrooms, and to partnering with families to provide positive learning experiences for their children. In her one-on-one work with students, Mrs. Blaich brings her love of teaching, her background and training in learning differences, and her personal interest in and practice of yoga and mindfulness to provide individualized learning support for the students with whom she works. Mrs. Blaich holds a B.A. and an M.A. in Political Science from Villanova University and an M.S. in Secondary Education from St. Joseph’s University. She is a National Board Certified teacher, is a certified yoga and kids yoga teacher, and holds a certificate in Educational Therapy from The University of California, Riverside. In her spare time, Laura enjoys running, swimming, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family.
