Ms. Mendoza grew up in the East Bay and graduated from Mills College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. She received her elementary and secondary mathematics teaching credentials from San Francisco State University with special emphasis in middle school education. She has taught pre-algebra and algebra for over twenty-five years. Her career has included teaching in Richmond, California for the West Contra Costa School District, in the Mission District of San Francisco for San Francisco Unified School District, at Kennedy Middle School in the Cupertino Union School District, and at St. Martin School and Catholic Academy of Sunnyvale in the Catholic Diocese of San Jose. Ms. Mendoza is a graduate of the San Francisco Math Leadership Project, California League of Middle Schools Interdisciplinary Team Training, and the Silicon Valley Mathematics Initiative Mathematics Coaching Institute. She enjoys walking her dog Scooby, reading, trips to the farmer's market, and gardening.
