Ms. Fields holds a B.A. in History & Education (Double Major) from the University of Maryland, a M.A. in Education from Gratz College, and a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Social Science. Starting her career in 2007, she has taught a wide range of Social Science courses, including: World History, Government, AP United States History, AP US Government, Women’s History, African American History, Sociology, Social Issues, and Yearbook. Through those courses, she has taught a variety of ability levels: Special Education, Honors, Advanced Placement, and ELL (English Language Learners) students. Ms. Fields grew up on the east coast, living in the Maryland and DC area most of her life. She moved to California in 2013 and as a new Californian, she spends her spare time exploring and going on adventures to places such as Big Sur and Yosemite. She also enjoys hiking with her two rescue dogs. Ms. Fields' favorite part of the job? "It's wonderful to see my students develop into informed and politically active citizens in our democracy."
