Novemember and December Games 2011

Alumni Girls Soccer

It was another beautiful fall day for the girls alumni game. The alumni team fielded only nine players while the varsity team suited ten, but we were able to even the teams with two from the men's alumni team, and we ultimatley had a great game.  The alumni generally dominated the action and had their shots on goal, but it was the varsity team that actually put the ball in the net. Danielle Man scored in the first half and the alumni never recovered. The game ended with the varsity on top 1-0, marking only the second time the varsity has toppled the alums. The alumni are looking forward to the next competition!

Alumni Girls Basketball

In a tough, back-and-forth game, the alumni girls proved to be too tough for the varsity girl's team, winning 68-62.  Coach Doc Sheppler noted, "I think the greatness of the game was that we had a number of former players come back and play.  The positive energy on the floor made it a special evening.  They all had a blast playing together!  It was great to see former teammates play again ... Sarah Feely and Sebnem, Tika, Sami and Daniela. I was happy for my assistant coach Anna Tracy to play with Sarah Feely for the first time.  I was very impressed by the play of my young team, who battled seven current and former Division I players and showed themselves that they can play with anyone as they continued to develop."

Alumni Boys Basketball

The varsity team ran rough-shod over the alumni, easily winning 92-46.  Despite the matching outfits of several alums, the varsity took off in the second half (the halftime score was 46-29) and never looked back.

Alumni Boys Soccer

As per tradition, the alumni men turned out in force and beat the varsity team.  The alumni have consistently proved to be nearly unbeatable over the years.
