Parents

Parent participation is a crucial element in the educational success of every student. Communication between parents and the school is encouraged; parents are welcome to conference at any time with a teacher or any member of the administration. Non-academic activities such as the Pinewood Jamboree, the annual golf tournament and the auction dinner would not happen without the guidance and support of the parent community.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
  • Grade Level Representatives (GLRs), Grades K-6
Each year one representative from every class is selected to be the liaison between the administration and the parents. GLRs meet once a month with the Administration to discuss upcoming events and additional information that needs to be communicated to the parents. The GLRs also coordinate parent meetings for their respective grades and serve as coordinators for parent volunteers.
  • Parent Liaisons, Grades 7-12
Communication between parents and the administration is enhanced through the Parent Liaison Committee. Parent representatives from each grade level meet regularly with the administration to facilitate the flow of information.
