The Process
The
college planning process is an educational adventure and a time for
personal growth, self-understanding and goal-setting. While the trek
will inevitably be stressful at times, overall it should be exciting
and enlightening and provide students will a thumbnail glance into the
bigger picture of the college experience. The following information is
intended as a fundamental guide to students and their parents through
the college admission process. It is important to remember that while
Pinewood offers support and advice throughout high school, it remains
the student's responsibility to take the lead in the college planning
process.
An in-depth College Planning Handbook, developed by the Pinewood
College Counseling Office, is given to all students during their junior
year, and is available to other students and their parents on request.
